I deposited two 3rd party checks from a local restaurant here in Katy TX. (payroll checks) I have deposited 3rd party checks for over 30 years. Days after the deposit (and of course after I paid bills with the money) BOA decided to return one of the checks (the other went thru??). I went to the bank and they told me they don't accept 3rd party checks, they changed their policy. Just how am I to know that, they didn't call me, they didnt send anything in the mail or anything to tell me they have changed their policy. Now they are charging me THREE $12 fees + a $35 fee. The check is valid, it's just the bank changed their policy without letting customers know. The BOA in Georgia works with their customers on EVERYTHING. The BOA here in Katy TX is just another cold hearted money making business that does not care about their customers, just like I'm finding out the Houston area is without Sourthern Hospitality for sure.
By the way, to add to my comment I called BOA main office and they said they do accept 3rd party checks. WTH
