I just had the WORST phone exoerience with one of your agents. Chase again is blocking me from sending a large payment out to a recipient I have addressed checks to for many years.
A few years ago when I deposited proceeds from a refinance they kept insisting the large sum of money had not cleared yet, that the bank it originated from was problematic. The lawyer checked, I checked with the other bank who said it had actually cleared in one day chase was truly withholding the truth and my money which apparently was already in my account! For 10 days! The two incidents are similar in that Chase is preventing me from being able to use my own money! The authentication process was ridiculous, went round and round and when asked for the birthdate of a friend from 20 years ago, I really objected - they were obviously reaching back as far as they could to find questions they thought I couldn't or wouldn't answer!
Now they insist I must go to a branch and identify myself in person! Terrific! I'm on an island without banks! When I said this, they asked for the zip code. I gave it to them and was then told my account had been blocked by the computer so they no longer have access. I must resolve this at my branch in person, which I cannot do for 2 more days. I had identified myself past all sufficient means. This was deliberate. What on earth are they doing with all of our money?
