Bank review

I went threw Drive threw to cash out an deposit my check the lady gave me the form so I could fill out the amount of money I wanted in cash an the rest deposit so I assume everything is okay she doesn't even let me know my deposit is in hold an that I won't be able to get the funds untill Friday an plus I have a negative in the amount of the deposit on my account if she would have told me it was gonna be on hold I would have cash it some where else an just pay for them to verify check an get my money to pay my bills know I have to wait till Friday to get that money really bad customer service

Branch review: Castle Hills Branch

This branch in particular has the most rudest person I have ever dealt with. Her name is Ch*** and she speaks to you in a very rude condescending voice with passive aggressive comments. The amount of attitude with each word and expression is disrespectful and making me want to change banks for that reason alone. Hate coming thru the drive thru and inside the bank in fear of getting this woman as a teller.

Branch review: South Padre Island Branch

Need to teach manners to the security guy Raul! I was attending the mariscada on April 6th 2023, I have a handicap license plate and disability and he blocked me from parking there! Very unprofessional and rude! IBC needs to fire him! South Padre branch

I am a longtime former employee of the bank - and was hired in as a manager later rotating through a couple of other roles in the organization. Overall, the whole machine at IBC Corporate - those establishing the rules for the front liners is seriously broken. It happened many years back when IBC decided to employ a "sales bank philosophy" which basically made every person a customer comes into contact with a seller of new products and services. Zero days, don't ever take NO for an answer - those are quotes from the training I attended. An employee is on a program from day 1, is never allowed to have a day when they work - teller, customer care - whatever - that they do not somehow open at minimum 1 new account. Every month the employee works there that goal increases - by the time they are at 12-24 months of employment (just about the time they are great doing their job) that goal has increased to impossible levels and that 2 year great employee is let go due to non performance issues - not hitting that high number of new accounts opened. NOBODY makes it in the same position past 2 years - it's set up like that to encourage your "progression into promotion in the bank", however, that is very lofty thinking unless you're really tight with someone who can save you. SO, what happens is once you're great with all kinds of experience you are gone! THIS is why the customer service and everything else falls apart here - this is why you see a new person every time you go into a branch. Also, the policy of holds on deposits - absurd. It is generally the decision of a couple unqualified middle managers in a market who make those calls - and if you push it at IBC (be polite but let the teller know you insist on speaking with an Area Teller Supervisor at minimum) to get holds released when you deposit. It works!

The bank churns and burns through a region's employment base regularly - that's when you see IBC Hiring Events going on - the banks have nobody left and nobody wants to work there because their careers are set up for failure from the start. That's the genesis of why this bank fails on many levels as far as customers. Now businesses - that's a whole different realm of this company and how you are treated! I will say this - at least they try but giving the front liners is something to think about because of what's written here - they can't help what they don't know.

Bank review

IBC is the worst bank and customer service is deplorable. I set up my direct deposit for my new job with a routing number out of 7,000 routing numbers I picked the wrong one because the customer service agent said it was because of markets. Do I work at a bank lady do I even know what that means no I don't all I do know is I didn't get paid today because of spectrum and they try to turn it around and blame me because I should have called to get the routing number I've never had to call for a routing number in my life and I'm not that young. San Antonio IBC has the worst customer service agents ever. So thanks to IBC I don't get paid today.

Branch review: Edinburg Walmart Branch

Hola! On October 2021, I opened a commercial bank account in IBC. They gave checks to pay my contractors and, for 1 year, I had been using them without any problem at all. I had been really pleased with your bank services and employees until today when I gave a contractor and your employees refused to cash it, I do have the funds in the account. I went to your Edinburg Walmart branch to see what was the problem and they refused to cash the check, again. I asked why and a lady told me that it was a savings account. I said it is totally illogical that I had been using this account for a whole year -without any problem and now, IBC is refusing to cash them. When I opened this account, the bank gave me checks, and now, IBC is refusing to cash my checks. If you do not honor the original contract with me, I will withdraw all my money and move it to another bank. Thank you, Maria T. Ramirez

Branch review: Marble Falls Branch

Drive thru at Marble Falls branch Debra is very rude and the bank has issues with keeping staff as well. I went after work the day before this issued occurred and they close at 5pm. People who are working an 8-5 m-f job it is impossible to do business with this so called facility. They are even closed on saturday, I don't understand why a bank won't chose the customer's needs over their own!!! I will close both my accounts and go to a bank where there is customer service. This is a small town and I have a big mouth, just saying!!!

Branch review: Sapulpa Branch

So our entire weekend is ruined, phones will be shut off, water will be shut off we have no food etc...because my husband accidentally deposited his check and IBC wont let him touch it until Tuesday!!! Literally screwed because he deposited it instead of cashed it! Bank wont help us, no manager...nothing! $1000 we cant touch! So we just wont eat, use our phones or shower for 3 days that's cool!

Branch review: Alice Branch

Walked in to try and get change for a 100 dollar bill. They refused to make change because I didn't have an account with them. A bank that won't make change. A bank that won't serve the community they're in. Go somewhere else, IBC has gotten to big to care.

The ibc bank is riping off its customers. The chip cards are not good and when I went in to replace my card they want to charge me 10 dlls. It's not the customers fault that the cards are not working like they should...

Went to the drive through window to withdraw a small amount of my money. Was told can't access MY money through the window, have to come inside or use debit card (I don't have a debit card). If lobby is closed, after 5 p.m., can't access MY money! Many other choices, my business went elsewhere.

I have been banking at this bank since it purchased Local Federal Savings and Loan. I have several accounts with electronic deposits on most of them. A hold was placed on a check from Chas Schwab because of the amount of the check. I had more than enough money in the account to cover any problem if the check was not good. I see no reason why a hold was necessary on this check. There was no way the bank was going to be left holding the bag if it bounced. This was not an insurance check which I know they do hold until the check has cleared. Someone needs to look at the whole picture on your customers before placing a hold on a check that would be covered by current balance in the account and also whether their are other accounts for this customer. It is really sad that there is no "personal" service here.
