I opened an account with Uwharrie Bank in 2020. The day I came in there the lady with red hair at the desk made a reference to the password I used to create my account. This is unacceptable for a bank.

I have paid on my mortgage for 15 years on a 15 year loan. I am down to my last year and I have made extra payments to have it paid off by now. I have ask for my payoff 3 times and each time is higher than the last. The last one I got put me to the point of not having paid a dime extra, which is false and illegal of this bank. I am single and have worked hard for 15 years just to get down to the last and have my money stolen from me by someone in this mortgage department. I will report it and fight this crime. It makes me sick to my stomach to be robbed by my own bank of 15 years. The person or persons responsible for cheating me and other people on mortgage payments should be put in jail.
Michelle du Bois and Kari Eudy in the Mortgage Department of the Albemarle location are absolutely fantastic! My husband and I cannot say enough about how efficient and helpful they have been to us during our mortgage application process! They both are priceless jewels!!
