★★ Branch review: Frostproof Branch

We secured a vehicle loan with Citizens Bank of Frostproof in Jan., 2021 and I set up auto pay on their website which is not user friendly. I set up payments for my credit card and did not see the extra fee because it was at the very bottom with smaller print. Later when I had to update my card the customer service person informed me I was paying $25. extra per month for using my credit card! I had no idea about this extra fee or I would have used a bank draft from the beginning. She said it had happened to many people before who weren't aware so she just wanted to inform me. When I set it up and saw the payment on my credit card, I didn't even notice that the payment amount was different and just assumed it was the correct payment. I have paid $750 extra in added fees and was totally unaware of these attached fees! I did contact Mr. Thornton of the bank, but did not get a response. I think the bank needs to be more responsible in clarifying their "hidden" charges. Plus, $25 per month added on for using a credit card seems excessive. I'd really like to hear from the bank regarding my complaint.
