E*Trade Savings Bank

E*Trade Savings Bank was established on May 1, 2006, and initially operated under that name. Over the years, the institution underwent significant changes, including a shift in its regulatory oversight; on July 21, 2011, it changed its primary federal regulatory agency to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. On April 9, 2018, E*Trade Savings Bank expanded its operations by acquiring Trust Company of America, located in Centennial, Colorado. However, the bank's structure changed dramatically when it merged and became part of E*Trade Bank in Arlington, Virginia, as well as merging into Morgan Stanley Private Bank, National Association in Purchase, New York, both of which occurred on January 1, 2022.
