History Of PNC Bank

PNC Bank, originally established in 1804 as The National Newark and Essex Banking Company of Newark, has undergone significant transformations through various mergers and acquisitions. Over the years, the bank changed its name to National Newark & Essex Bank in 1966 and subsequently to Midlantic National Bank in 1973. In the late 20th century, PNC Bank began expanding through acquisitions, including the purchase of PNC Bank, National Association in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in 1996. The institution further grew by acquiring several regional banks, such as Midlantic National Bank/North and Hilliard Lyons Trust Company in 1991 and 2001, respectively. In 2009, PNC Bank acquired National City Bank and moved its main office to Wilmington, Delaware. The bank's expansion continued into the 2010s with notable acquisitions, including RBC Bank (USA) in 2012 and BBVA USA in 2021. ★★ Branch review: Fox Point Branch

Lately I have had problems with the drive thru teller not helping me. Had two big issues with the atm. Two weeks ago a ghetto looking guy tried to rob me, today some angry woman sat at the atm more than 10 minutes yelling on a call. I tried the drive thru teller and she just sent what I sent to back, could not hear a word from her. She had anger and no interest to help.

Stay away!! Horrible customer service. Clearly this branch can't get their s**t together. I only need to go to the branch every 1-2 months and its all brand new employees every time!! No one seems to know what is going on, they don't support each other and unfortunately, their current management 8/3/26, is an absolute JOKE!!
