History Of BMO Bank
BMO Bank, officially known as BMO Harris Bank National Association, has a history dating back to its establishment as Glencoe National Bank on May 17, 1947, in Glencoe, Illinois. The institution underwent several name changes, becoming Harris Bank Glencoe-Northbrook in 1985. Over the years, the bank expanded significantly through numerous acquisitions, including Harris Trust and Savings Bank and multiple Harris Bank branches across Illinois in 2005. Following these expansions, the bank changed its name to Harris National Association on May 27, 2005. In July 2011, the bank adopted its current name after acquiring several institutions, including Marshall & Ilsley Bank and The Harris Bank National Association. The bank continued to grow, completing notable acquisitions such as Amcore Bank in 2010 and M&I National Trust Company in 2012. Most recently, on September 19, 2022, BMO Bank relocated its main office to 320 South Canal Street in Chicago, Illinois.

Very very kind, knowledgeable, friendly staff, but for whatever reason it seems like the "computer/software" program they use takes FOREVER to process a simple transaction.
I've never waited so long in a drive-thru at any other bank/credit union as with BMO locations just to make a standard deposit or withdraw a relatively minimal amount of cash.... Read more
The employees here are outstanding! I mostly have worked with Keegan with a refinance and Keegan is amazing. Keegan goes above and beyond to help the customer and explain. The tellers are amazing also. I have to say, I have never been given a rude attitude from any employee at this branch. I know they have many customers to work with, but they treat you like you are the only one!... Read more
I want from bank a small amount of equity line of credit against my paid of home. so as per banker suggest I open account and full fill given requirements and I just wondering they not check only initially stage denied me but same time other bank approve me more than that what I desire. so 100 percent dislike that bank policy and before sure of customer requirement banker also need to be not open ...
