History Of HomeStreet Bank
HomeStreet Bank is a commercial bank established on August 18, 1986, under the original name Continental Savings Bank. It underwent a series of organizational changes, including becoming a stock savings bank and changing its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) in 1997. The bank's main office was initially located at 1314 Sixth Street in Seattle, Washington, where it remained after moving there in December 1992. In May 2000, the institution changed its name to HomeStreet Bank. Over the years, the bank expanded its operations through several acquisitions, including Yakima National Bank in November 2013 and Orange County Business Bank in February 2016. On February 29, 2016, HomeStreet Bank changed its organization type to a commercial bank and its bank class to a state-chartered bank that is not a member of the Federal Reserve System. The bank's main office was relocated to 601 Union Street, Suite 2000, Seattle, Washington, in October 2015.

Union bank was change to Homestreet Bank in Hesperia CA. I have had Nothing but trouble form Day 1. I could not get any information on my account For 3 months and had no debit card either. Also I was unable to get to bank at that time. Im Handicap and did not have help. When I was able to get to the bank I had to have them activate my card and help me get into my account I deposit 280.00 when I looked at my receipt 1 I only had 137.00
I was never notified of any problems with my account. I didn;t have access to my account so I was charged for a check I wrote, 110.00 for the fees. next month I had fraudulently charges on my account same with the next month, next moth they tried to charge overdraft fee of 30.00 for a automatic payment of 7.00 I got that reverse. on the 10th I has 3(.99 ) purchase which it over draw my account and the automatic payment total 12.95 on the 12th at 6:38 am I deposited 50.00 to take care of the overdraft before I was charged overdraft fees I had a balance of 37.00 went and spent 27.00 of the 37.00 I wanted to see how much I had left on homestreet app I was -80.00. because the applied overdraft fees after I all ready took care of the overdraft. .99 3x =60.00 overdraft and 30 more for my automatic payment. and they took the 50 I deposited so I got another overdraft for the 27.00 I spent out of the 37.00 I new was in the bank now 80.00 in the whole ,. and they wont refund me the overdraft fees even though I deposited 50 and it took care 12.95 the overdraft. there is no grace period at all but they had't charged the overdraft when I deposited the 50.00.so this bank is the worst bank I have ever dealt with. they are stealing my money that I dont have as a person in a wheelchair. I got to the bank as fast as I could to avoid overdraft fees. and they will not give me back the money.
One of the worst banks I have ever dealt with, I have been on hold for over 3 hours, the local branch and the main office will not even answer the phone. My mother is 85 and has not been able to access her money in over 10 days. I am going to have to take off work in order to assist my mother in getting her money out of this bank and to someone with a decent reputation.
