History Of Illinois Bank & Trust
Illinois Bank & Trust was established on October 16, 1995, originally under the name Riverside Community Bank. Over the years, the institution evolved and underwent several significant changes. On March 8, 2014, it changed its name to Riverside Community Bank and subsequently acquired Freedom Bank in Sterling, Illinois. Later that year, on September 13, the bank rebranded to Illinois Bank & Trust and relocated its main office to 6855 East Riverside Boulevard in Rockford, Illinois. The bank continued to expand through acquisitions, including Galena State Bank & Trust Co. in January 2015 and Rockford Bank and Trust Company in November 2019. On January 1, 2021, the main office was moved to 4571 Guilford Road, also in Rockford, Illinois. The institution was ultimately merged into HTLF Bank on December 2, 2022, becoming part of a larger banking organization based in Denver, Colorado.
