Mid America Bank was originally established as The Footville State Bank on January 3, 1910. Over the years, the institution underwent several name changes and relocations. On March 6, 1975, it changed its name to The Footville State Bank and moved its main office to Highway 11 and Century, Footville, Wisconsin. Subsequently, on October 3, 1989, the bank adopted the name Mid America Bank. The main office was relocated again on June 25, 2003, to 2317 Milton Avenue, Janesville, Wisconsin. Eventually, following a period of operation, Mid America Bank voluntarily closed and liquidated its assets on December 31, 2016.
