Stonebridge Bank was established on February 17, 2006, under its original name. The bank operated for several years before moving its main office to 903 Washington Avenue South in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on July 15, 2008. In a strategic expansion move, Stonebridge Bank acquired Citizens State Bank of Shakopee in Shakopee, Minnesota, on November 17, 2012. However, after years of operation, Stonebridge Bank voluntarily closed and liquidated its assets on October 1, 2016.
