Very disgruntled!!!! My uncle passed away in May of this year. He has a safe deposit box at this branch. We were advised over the phone that all we needed was the death certificate and ID to access the box. With requested documents in hand we were denied access. We were told we had to wait 28 days and/or get documentation from the court allowing access. We are well past 28 days and have court documents and were again denied access. We brought our attorney to the branch as we were getting frustrated with this run-a-round. The current status is that the legal office has to approve before getting access. We have now spent thousands of dollars in airfare and legal fees just to deal with this issue. Continued false information from not only the branch but every customer service person we spoke to on the phone, up until just now. I spoke with Gladis, a customer service lead, who confirmed the process requires legal review and approval which could now take several days. She reached out to the branch manager and the legal department. We hope to have an answer by the end of business today. Thank you Gladis. As if the death of our Uncle wasn't bad enough, this tcf branch was a nightmare to deal with.
