The Republic Washington branch has to be among the worst WAFD has. They only have one Teller that knows what she's doing. The rest are under trained and have poor customer service skills. If they run into something more than just putting money into your account or cashing a check, they're lost. But instead of getting help from someone who might know how to do something different, they just say you can't do that. Even when you tell them, you do it on a regular basis. The Teller we were working with was not even aware that the debit cards have a different number on them than our account number. She was also unaware that you can deposit a money order into any account as long as it's endorsed by the person the money is order is made out to. In addition, this teller said you can only deposit $200 into a checking account. The money order was for $350. Unfortunately, our small town has very little banking options. The branch manager is oftentimes too busy or not there to help and as of late, has been bringing his politics into the bank. People are avoiding taking issues to him.
I have been a WAFD customer for a decade. I'm becoming more and more unsatisfied with them as time goes on.
I had a GREAT experience with Josh Cozart and Deanna Mathews at Chelan Branch of WaFd Bank. There professionalism and courtesy was superb. They went above and beyond to make sure my experience of securing HELOC was the best. I spent 37 years in banking and lending and Josh and Deanna are real "Pros". I would be curious why your employees at this branch would call law enforcement on a citizen filming in public... from a public sidewalk no less? I think we may need public vs private and Constitutional training. My family has been banking at Rainer Beach WaFed since 2010. Couldn't be more pleased. Sound advice, great options, and much more personal attention than at a larger branch like Ballard where I originally opened the account.
The most frustrating banking experience in many years at WAFED Evergreen branch. I really feel that I should take my money out of this bank and return to BECU. It took 6 days to get me a new debit card, and even when they gave it to me we couldn't get it activated. Would not recommend this bank to anyone. BECU gets you a new debit card in 15 minutes, not one week.
Great customer service. I went in to withdraw a large amount of cash for a car purchase and the Bank clerk Kawanda Ready was fantastic. She made the branch manager aware of my large withdraw. The Branch Manager came over and assisted in the transaction. I felt safe and secure. They even provided a WAFD money pouch for me to carry my large amount of cash. Thank you for your service.
When I was looking for a bank to fit my need, I was referred to Colleen Ward at Washington Federal in Green Valley. She was very professional, very friendly, and the whole staff has been great to work with. This is a top notch bank and I have been highly satisfied going to them for my needs. Thank you Washington Federal and thank you Mrs. Ward for all your assistance so far!! If it were possible I would give them 10 Stars and 2 thumbs up!!
I have dealt with many banks in my life time. My husband and I are very pleased with this branch and the friendly people who help us. We would like to personally thank Barbara Schabin for her guidance and caring ways.
