In November 2025, I needed to establish a new business bank account for work I am currently undertaking, and I met with Weston Johnson of the Berthoud Bank of Colorado branch to do so. From the outset, the experience stood out.
Weston supported me really well that day, and provided a truly exceptional customer service. He took the time to walk me carefully through the process, explained key details related not only to the account itself but also to broader considerations involved in setting up a company, and ensured that I left with clear, step-by-step guidance for getting everything properly established.
Since then, I have returned to the bank two or three times to follow up on additional matters, including ACH-related questions. Each visit has been met with immediate responsiveness, genuine interest, and a relaxed professionalism that is increasingly rare. The interactions have never felt transactional or sales-driven, just thoughtful, engaged, and sincerely supportive of the work I am doing.

Apparently bank of Colorado only caters only to the wealthy white Democrats. I have a 780 credit. Never had a problem with Any financial institution. yet 2 weeks after opening my account they closed it. "Risk assessment did not meet their standards". Agent couldn't tell me what that even ment. Good riddance. Glad I didn't transfer much $ over. I feel like Kanye West getting canceled by J P morgan.
Love the folks at the Lincoln Branch! A customer-first and responsive culture starts at the Branch Manager and flows throughout. A place "where everybody knows your name" when you walk in. Ashlynn, Nick, Ryan and Ryan always ready with a smile and greet you by your name. This goes a long way from a customer perspective. Keep up the awesome work!
