Do not use BMO bank, hidden fees and bad customer service, I have an CD account with BMO, the term ended, it automatically renewed at a lower rate, called customer service and they said I needed to close in person. Went to branch office, Manager charged $ 938.00 to close account, Stay out of BMO Bonita office.
Absolutely pathetic. I bank with BMO in Palmetto Florida. I dont care which way you lean politically. But when the president says to fly flags half mass for the brutal murder of Charlie Kirk and Palmetto Florida BMO harris bank shows how they really feel and do not take their flag to half mass THAT IS DISGRACEFUL. I will be changing banks. BMO Harris you are a pathetic group of people. Reap what you sow.
Tried using my debit card at Ace Hardware, they tried 4 times, each time it was declined, approximately a month ago, the same thing happened at WalMart, at that time I went to my local branch to have them check my card, they informed me that my card was fine. Now when I try accessing my acct on line, all I get is ( ACCESS DECLINED ) I called customer service for help and to verify who I am, the person (who spoke broken English) repeatedly ask me questions that I could only answer by accessing my acct, then asked me question regarding previous address numbers from 20 to 30 years ago, which I do NOT remember. I am 84 years old and have dealt with MANY banks in my lifetime and have NEVER had the problems that I'm having with BMO, I have had other issues regarding wire transfers. I have no problems with my local branch, but customer service an headquarters leave a L O T to be desired.. Extremely dissatisfied acct holder, considering switching and definately NOT recommending BMO to anyone. John Binggely Tucson, AZ.
From day 1 horrible bank, at time of set up I couldn't use my mailing address. Then I didn't get my debit card because I didn't have funds. The reason I had no funds is because I had such a hard time getting my credentials back. The very last draw is the Glendale Branch Manager Heko she said I walked in like a crazy woman yelling at her. She was with a guy showing him her cellular, I don't think that was work related, so yes, she was mad because I interrupted her socializing. At the end i have no access to my funds because i opened my account via online. Stay away from this bank period!!!!
I reported BMO Bank N.A to OCC, they were contacted by my bank Chase Bank about a business-to-business wire fraud of 20,000 dollars on July 11th, 2025. BMO Bank N.A in Chicago IL declined to initiate a wire transfer recall or attempt to freeze the funds for investigation.
I am reporting BMO Bank N.A. and Chase Bank for not initiating any type of investigation when this fraud was reported to them on July 10th,2025. Both BMO Bank N.A and Chase bank did not follow any of the regulation E (Electronic fund Transfer Act) for business-to-business transaction fraud.
Regulation E (Electronic Fund Transfer Act) You must report an unauthorized or erroneous electronic fund transfer as soon as you discover it which I did on July 10th, 2025.
The bank has 10 business days to acknowledge your complaint (in writing or electronically).
The investigation must be completed within 45 calendar days.
If the bank needs more time, it can provisionally credit your account for the disputed amount (minus up to $50) while it continues its inquiry.
Within three business days after completing the investigation, the bank must send you written results and, if an error occurred, correct your account.
Bank's Internal FraudāInvestigation Policies Maintain a risk-based Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and fraud-monitoring program under the Bank Secrecy Act.
File a Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) with FinCEN for fraud patterns, ensuring law enforcement visibility.
Train frontline staff and wire-operations teams to triage and escalate consumer fraud claims immediately.
These internal protocols help guarantee your complaint does not languish unaddressed.
Neither bank has reached out about investigating or asking for any type of documentation I have related to the 20,000-dollar business to business fraud committed by Fortune Media LLC.
I have a Digital Forensics Report showing Frank Woods owner of Fortune Media LLC is not in the US. Digital forensics Corp, reached out to Frank Woods through web IP address, phone, email and identified he lives in Copenhagen, Denmark.
I would like to see BMO Bank NA do the right thing and investigate this matter.
I am a 50-year-old retired Veteran who was defrauded of 20,000 dollars and neither Chase or BMO took this seriously blaming me for initiating the wire transfer. This was my first investment made with my retirement money beware of these banks they do not protect their customers and use us them only to profit.
To whom it may concern: Please be advised that the Assistant Branch manager at this location is VERY nice, and VERY professional. I have asked BMO telephone customer service to have their regional Manager contact me, and I am still waiting, to make sure that this issue is cleared up. The Branch Manager, is not nice, and very condescending, as is the young man who is a teller at this branch. This young man rudely called me by my first name repeatedly even after being corrected. Also note, there is an older lady who is a teller who is very nice, and very professional in that branch as well. Overall they are slow, and the lines are long. The only reason why I use this branch is because of the Assistant manager who is the MOST professional of the staff.
I am shocked there was not better planning for parking and access to this Saddlecreek location. The bank should look into opening an exit onto Wakeley St.
Horribly deceitful place, they made the process of Closing a CD account so difficult they forced a delay in their favor causing me a $1355.00 penalty, unhelpful rude staff. Stop Stealing money from people, Avoid this Bank At All Costs!

We have banked with BMO for almost 30 years and I ask myself why? We have tried many others: Chase, Associated, Bank of America, and Wells Fargo. And by far, BMO has the best customer service. Whenever I have a problem, the bank manager always responds and does something about it. We mainly go to the Green Bay, WI branch on Packerland. Chris is the manager and is so helpful. All the tellers know me by name and are professional and process things quickly. They even caught a scammer trying to get into my account. I highly recommend this bank for all your banking needs. We have a checking, savings, and business account with them. Thanks for putting customers first, BMO!
I paid off my boat loan 5/7/2025 and have been tying to get them to take the lien off of the title ever since, when I call them I get a different person and a different story! If you or anyone you know is buying a car from a dealer and they say it will go thru BMO run do walk to the nearest exit... These are the rudest and uninformed business I have had the displeasue of dealing with!!! They will hide this revie I am sure of!
I'm trying to speak to someone at the branch. I got a Japanese lady who said she could connect me to a branch banker, but the line was busy. I don't know how to reach a person there, please advise.
if you answer or complain trying to get into your account. you get flagged. So, trying to close your account after you move to a state that does not have a BMO to physically go into to close account is not viable. NOW i have to go pay for a notary. get their card. go and scan my license and the notary paper and card to send in to close the account. Since my account is flagged. I am not allowed to be transferred to a manager. Please make sure you have everything in order.. Like recent transactions and the name of your firs dog. Otherwise flagged. hate this company. never wanted them. got xferred thru bank of the west. what a nightmare.
It is SO very difficult to get anyone to answer the phone at this Bank!... every time I call!... this has to be the 5th-6th time in the last 6 months or so that I've tried to call and no one answers the phone!... then you're sent to someone that can't speak English well and they try to transfer me back to the local bank and then again, no one answers!... it's getting to the point I'm about to switch banks!
This BMO Bank branch is the most competent and professional bank I have ever had. The team is very personable and has assisted me with a HELOC, Business LOC, an additional business savings and received me and my team members with a smile. They know all of us by name. This branch has been continually understaffed for many months. Although there have been several very good tellers who help with $ exchange, etc., the branch has been lacking solid management for well over two years! I was just in the branch asking for some help with a continuing problem with Zelle, and I was told I could wait an indefinite time for a personal banker. When I knocked on the door, the very young manager looked at me like a "deer in headlights" and explained I was being rude when I inquired about how to make an appointment,. He appears to be in "over his head," and doesn't know how to advise his tellers to explain to the customers what the situation is. So, rather use customer service, he called me rude, blamed me, and-I left the branch and will not go back into it unless management changes. I just called the Washington Street branch in Naperville and got cut off. Do I need a new bank? There are plenty around and after 35 yrs as a customer, maybe a change would be good!!
Please get a change counter. I have never seen a bank that did NOT have a change counter available for customers. The tiny local bank that used be here had one.
Musical chairs Bank managers and tellers. Called the main office to pay by credit card, but no one was available to take the call, too busy.
Who would file charges on a BMO Teller who stole $50.000.00 and closed the account. Am I responsible to file charges or the bank. and how long does it take to do a investigation. Cannot get any information from the manager at the bank.
What tellers have the brains to hold and look at my checks both with watermarks for deposit over 1k each and starts a conversation with you how they have to be careful of fraud nowadays hands the deposit slip to you to fill out and transaction slip to take that deposit to use toward credit card as they sit and tell me my neighbor that reminds me of a sexual predator is such of a good guy. So I didn't agree as I didn't care to explain why. She then says thank you and have a good day. Day goes by and check account for funds as I find out that teller flagged the two checks as Fraud and won't be able to receive that particular money for seven days! Though I took that money from my pension plan for myself and my wife to go on a trip two days later . Great thank you lady! The 3k I took out for the trip has hold on it and took off for work and now have to plan our trip for a later date all because I believe I didn't care for my neighbor and she was all defensive for him so getting back at me for my unwanted opinion by flagging not one but two checks from United States Bank as fraud is the dirtiest BS I've ever heard of! Best part is I get a check from them every month that I deposit there at least three previous times and never had a problem.
Worst bank ever. They are misleading about how your payment is posted vs principal to interest. When paying ahead on payments they tell you it is principal payment you are ahead on and not the interest payments. How in the world can you pay ahead and not get posted appropriately between the two. SCAM and RUN from this bank. My loan was transferred there from Bank of the West with whom we did not have any problem of payment appropriations.

BMO Bank 925 north high school road, indianapolis indiana 46214. CAUTION! This bank has a client that just committed wire fraud! They hacked into one of my customers email account, and another banks account, and got a wire transfer that was supposed to come to my company. Can't disclose the amount, but it was 6 figures. Shame on you BMO Bank, for allowing crooks to set up accounts with your bank. Shame on you, whoever you are, for stealing from good honest people. Since my banking and email have been compromised, i have had to change all my account numbers, and passwords. Thanks alot! And now, I'm looking at 30 to 60 days before I get paid.
