First Security Bank

First Security Bank was established on August 20, 1997, originally under the name First Security Bank of Owensboro, Inc. The bank changed its name to First Security Bank on November 21, 2013. In a strategic move to enhance its services, the bank acquired Warrick Interim Bank Inc. in Boonville, Indiana, on January 25, 2008. Subsequently, the main office was relocated to 313 Frederica Street, Owensboro, Kentucky, on July 23, 2012. On December 11, 2000, the institution upgraded its trust powers to full status. The bank eventually merged with German American Bank in Jasper, Indiana, on October 15, 2018, and, as part of this transition, changed its name to German American Bank on July 1, 2019.
