BRANCH REVIEWS
I went in to the bank in Vernon on Friday to get info on opening a checking acct. I asked for a brochure of the offers and was told by the banker that all the info was on the website. She handed me her card as I left. There is no specific information on the types of checking accounts offered online. I called the toll free number this morning and was put on hold by ivr. A representative answered and I told her what had transpired. I asked if I could get information emailed to me, she said she was new and was going to transfer me to a banker. I was then put back on hold and got a response in about 45 seconds. I explained what had transpired up to that moment and the representative informed me that he was overflow representative and that he would be glad to transfer me to the actual local bank. I told him that it seems this bank does not care to be my bank as my time is valuable. No warm and fuzzy. I will go with Bank of the West.
