Branch Reviews & Complaints
I attempted to open a high yield account on the Peak Bank website. Jumped through all the hoops, submitted all documents, provided all information only to be informed that I did not qualify. I was only informed that I was approved for an account. Peak didn't way what type - just an account. I have a near perfect credit rating. It is in the upper 800's. But you wouldn't know that because my credit is locked down in all 3 credit bureaus. You were probably not able to obtain information on me because I recently had to file fraud reports to protect my credit from people. I sent Peak an email to close my account and left two voicemails and got no response. Only to be shocked by my bank with this recent pending bank notification to withdraw $30k by Idaho First Bank from my savings account. This is unacceptable business. I asked my bank to stop the transfer. I am a retired woman. This is my retirement money. This is all I have. The vagueness of your website and the lack of communication is almost intentionally deceptive. i'm 75 years old. I've worked at banks. You are governed by the government. That $30K belongs to me regardless of what account it is in. You were notified "prior" to the transfer of my funds to close the online account but instead you chose to ignore me and transfer my funds out of my account. You can make this easy and stop the transfer since it is still in pending status and close the Peak account per my request or we can draw this out.
