My husband and I are longtime customers of PNC Bank in Basking Ridge, NJ. As this branch is closing we made an appointment in the Bernardsville Branch to open a safe deposit box and meet the staff. On the day of appointment we arrived at the Branch and used the texting method which we were directed to use to gain access. After waiting 20 minutes outside, and seeing other customers walk in and out of the branch, we entered and asked for Anthony Pinto, the person we were to meet. He was sitting in his office alone, and seeming unaware we were waiting outside. There was no apology or urgency on his part to explain the delay or poor service. How long would we have waited outside for the confirmation text to arrive stating he was available for our appointment had we not just entered the bank on our own? What is the purpose of scheduling an appointment if for no good reason customers are left waiting outside? What good is having a texting before entering system if indeed it doesn't work properly? We left the branch very disappointed without conducting the meeting we scheduled. On the drive home I received the texting messaged that said we were now able to enter the bank, 30 minutes after the appointed time of the meeting. PNC Bernardsville Branch, you deserve the lowest rating available.
