PNC is one of the worst banks I have ever worked with and a nightmare to deal with! I recently decided to try out PNC on April 28, 2025 since I am an investor and real estate agent and I like to have my money organized in different bank accounts. On May 14, 2025 I deposited $23,356.00 one check from a closing I did and the other from one of my rental properties which the amount became available on May 21, 2025.
This all started on May 23, 2025 when I deposited a check and since I work as a real estate agent I am constantly depositing checks that have high amounts of money in them but I am familiar with the fact that they need to be on hold for around seven business days to get them verified. That day that I deposited the check I had two closings from the same builder and bank and one closing I decided to deposit into my other bank and the other into PNC. One was for over 13k which went into my other bank and the other was for $15,149.70 which went to PNC. The 13k one in my other bank was available in less than seven business days. But the $15,149.70 one was not but rather it was still on hold.
On May 23, 2025 when I deposited the check into my PNC account the bank withheld $15,847.60 from the $25,594.15 in my account leaving me with $9,753.13 at midnight. On May 24, 2025 I went to the branch on 1960 and spoke with the manager Alex and was told the money would be put back on May 28, 2025 the money was put back but the check for the $15,149.70 was not cleared but I still gave them time since the seven business days had not passed.
I called to check on the status of my check on June 3, 2025 since there was never any communication to me on how that check was doing it is still on hold and it has already been past the seven days til this point for this check but up until I had to call them and wasn't given any update, mind you I am constantly working with this builder that I had the closing with and have never had any problem with any of the checks they have given me but the moment I work with PNC it's a problem.
The bank tells me that they tried to call and verify it on May 30, 2025 out of all of the seven days that they had the check they were not able to verify it which I in turn called the builder and bank that dispersed the check to me and was told that they had already cleared the check to PNC. I am constantly calling and being told that the back office is going to give me a call back but there has been very limited communication on their behalf and every time I call they give me excuses.
Now that I know that the check has been cleared I am now told that I have to go verify myself or because it has my brokers office address I am not able to get it I'm not sure if they have never worked with realtors before but this is a common thing in their checks.
I have been to 3 branches and they are all telling me that this is back offices fault but to me this is like I am treated as a joke! I'm not sure if it was because of how I look or if it is because of my name since I am from mexican background or because of the whole situation going on with immigration that they thought I was not going to be able to pursue legal action against them but I have news for them I am an American CItizen and I will not allow them to take even a penny from me much less over 15k.
I will be closing my account with this company and I will make sure that none of my family or clients will take services with PNC. I hope the employees who have treated me poorly during this experience and have drained me emotionally especially since I have just gone through surgery which due to this situation has taken a heavy toll on my recovery progress are happy with the way they have treated me so a big thank you to those employees Kesha, Keandrea, Rakia Orr, Belandra and Shane Ampey who work at PNC at the back office.
Please beware of this bank and I will be reporting this bank to the OCC, Federal Reserve consumer complaint, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Federal Reserve Board, and the FDIC to make sure that this bank does not continue doing this fraud to other customers probably they are slowing taking money from the hardworking customers accounts little by little. Please track your accounts every moment and you will see that these people are changing the numbers to favor them.
I have never i my life had a bank charge you to cash a check drawn on their own bank! Finding that no one would cash their check, I drove 100 miles to a PNC branch to cash it and was informed that, since I did not have an account with them, there was a 2% charge to cash the insurance check. Or I could open an account. I paid, grudgingly, but would certainly never open an account with them! What happened to customer service?
How can a centrally located bank not have the ATM machine not replaced for 3 weeks. Makes me wonder if they even care about customer service!!!
Hi, can someone let me know where your property line ends? I live on W Buckingham Ave and I have been told that the area behind my house belongs to this branch and this area is a mess. It needs cleaned up very badly. Who do I need to get in touch with to deal with this?
There are no tellers at this branch. I do not want to conduct all transactions Via ATM. Its is not always convenient to schedule appointments for simple things like cashing checks.
They drained my checking without notice while I thought we were doing a refi on a 5 year balloon then foreclosed on the home. I had a stupid attorney also in the mix.
Pleasantville branch is permanently closed.
I am so disappointed to discover that PNC apparently has ZERO interest in business from people who work full-time. Why on earth would you close your doors (including the drive-through) at 5:00 PM on a FRIDAY?! How are working people supposed to cash their paychecks? Since I prefer to cash my paycheck IN PERSON with an ACTUAL TELLER, as opposed to having to go to the ATM where deposited paychecks are not credited until the next business day; perhaps it's time to take my business elsewhere.
I have been with PNC Bank for over 20 years. I have received nothing but 5-star assistance with any needs I have had. All staff have been extremely helpful and have always addressed me by my name and resolved any problems I have had. It is a pleasure to award this branch with a 5-star rating.
Worst bank/location I have ever dealt with... Their staff—not all, but most—at this Fruitville location can't even handle cashing a check appropriately and then depositing it into your checking account for available use. They are completely ignorant and do not listen to what you tell them to do. I only come here because my employer banks with them. Other than that, I would stay far away from this location. It is always headaches here and long wait times in the drive-thru. Nothing but aggravation.
Today, I called customer service at 1-888-762-2265. The Haitian man who barely spoke English, nor could I understand him due to his accent, refused to let me speak with a supervisor or manager. He told me they would call me back in 24–48 hours. Really, PNC? That's how you conduct your business with complaints? Good grief!
The Flemington branch of PNC has been my banking home for over 10 years, and I have been pleased at the efficiency and friendliness of the staff--the cashiers, the managers, everyone. Kudos for maintaining a culture of service for the clients, a fast disappearing feature of so many financial institutions these days.
I went into this branch location last month (11/2024) and the manager told me that they are not participants of DTC despite PNC Bank N.A. being an active participant of DTC and DTC's protocols. They were unable (or unwilling) to deposit my security (non-cash item) for cash or collection; and were also unable to present my security to the DTC for custody using their PTS. I am very dissatisfied as a customer
The best service, everyone in this location has a great smile and the knowledge, to help with all your needs.
I received a survey questionnaire about service I had at your facility on 12/112024. I stated I did not go to the bank on that date, however, roughly a month earlier I did go to the Blairstown PNC bank and did I receive service from an agent there. That person was very helpful and friendly. I just wanted you to know I did get good service if the date was incorrect on the survey.. Thank you.
Every time I'm there (usually Saturdays around 10:30), the same song is always playing over the intercom. Isn't anyone there sick and tired of having to hear Linda Ronstadt's "You're No Good" over and over and over again?!
I honestly have never been in such a friendly, and truly ready to know me and serve me bank. New here, it meant everything to me, Ms Jamilah!
Anastasha helps people like me with mental disorders going on 6 - 7 year now. I used to live by the Midway Branch.
Know I live in Wilmington, not great. I can always call her if I do not understand something. She reminds me of herb lavender calming me down. I was a STEM teacher for the WW Program for twenty years for the IBM TJ WATSON RESEARCH CENTER. I have taught at many NYC inner city school systems for science projects. I think Anastasha should train people from other branches about people with disability programs and other diversities. God knows she has helped me for a long time. She is a fine, fine worker and improves your bank rating. I can never thank her enough. These are the people you should be commending and shaping your banks for tomorrow.

DON'T PUT YOUR MONEY HERE!!! We have both personal & business accounts at multiple credit unions and banks. I opened this particular LLC account when they were BBVA and had no issues when it was BBVA at all. When PNC took over everything went south fast. Aside from the horrible service & high fees, I had multiple instances of fraudulent charges on my LLC account. I wound up freezing the account till I could figure out what to do or where to move my banking to. The account freeze has a max of 30 days. When I needed to access the account, I would go in person, unfreeze, do what I needed to, and have them refreeze it. Apparently the last time I was in, the bank person screwed up and put only a 24 hour hold instead of the 30 days and I got hit with another big charge. The bank, location being 2946 S Mason Rd, Katy, TX 77450, is now denying responsibility stating that on that particular day I had requested a one day hold as I was probably coming back the next day?!?!?! On top of that PNC charged more fees to my account due to the fund shortage caused by the bogus charges their screw up allowed. In all my years of banking across decades and multiple states, I have never had a worse overall experience. Worth repeating: DONT PUT YOUR MONEY HERE!!!
People will post something bad about a business but one his one is not. I was unlucky and had my bank account hacked, they had access to my entire account. While online watching them move things I called the bank and Brett the Branch Manger answered the call, and told of what was happening froze the account to stop them from taking my money. Not only that he set up a new account new bank card, temporary checks and wrote letters for me to send to my autopay billing like my electric Co, cell provider, credit card. insurance etc. I can not thank them enough for their help and concern they showed. I've been with PNC Myrtle beach for 7-8 yrs. and I moved to N. Myrtle 4 yrs ago and still continue the longer drive as their Customer Service is the best.
Terrible customer service. Branch manager was able to override an account that was being opened to add a promo worth $200.00 and said there was nothing she could do. It was too late and when I called to complain, I was told she indeed had the authority to override the new account being opened and add the promo.
First of all, I would like to say that all of the employees at this bank are very pleasant and helpful. In particular, I worked with one of your bankers named Zak Briggs. He helped me with account printouts and other information I needed in order to apply for government assistance for my brother-in-law, who had a stroke. The information required by this agency was quite complicated, especially when it came to bank accounts, and their requests went back a number of years. Zak made himself available to help me with this challenge, problem solving some areas, and always with a pleasant demeanor. The application I finally submitted was approved. I know the process would have been extremely difficult without Zak's expert help. He's an excellent representative for PNC!
Everyone here is so friendly and ready to help with any of your questions. Whether you have questions on your business or if its personal.
I wanted to cash a check yesterday at the Millstone Branch and you can't do it, nothing is happening inside the bank, i was told I could deposit the check and then take it out through the ATM, but there are no tellers inside, and everyone inside the bank was huddled around a small table by the front door... oddest thing I've ever seen in a bank and I had to check to make sure I was in a PNC bank.... it's some kind of service center now, but it's not operating as a PNC bank.
Customer service is poor at best. Branch does not answer phone calls regularly. Opened a checking and savings account with branch manager, who did not order checks as he was supposed to. Caught him in several lies, and he continued to make excuses. If a customer cannot trust or count on the branch manager to do his job both correctly and professionally, then how can someone trust the entire branch.
Staff does not know what are they doing. Be careful!
