My mother, who has a vision impairment of 10% of vision and other major health issues decided to open an account September of 2019. She has yet received a bank statement, it took her almost 3 months to get a debit card, and other issues from this bank. We were told by the branch manager "Matt" that everything on her account is fix and admitted they dropped the ball. Well, Matt, its STILL not fixed and not to worry in calling us. I did ask you to call us back on Friday, Feb.7, 2020 and you have not. Although, you told us to call you anytime. You failed to keep your word. I depended on her bank card working and of course, its not. I even call the customer support line and we will have to contact the branch manager to fix it. Its a joke now! Matt has made the decision for us to move to another bank and I assure you South State, I will submit this complaint and what My 70 yearold mom went through. Even when I now walk in or go through the drive through its a very cold experience and to the point, of driving 30 miles away to keep from feeling like we are bother to the staff of this bank. I dont know what happen, because at onetime, these were nice people. Now they are the opposite. If you are looking for a new bank, just beware of this one.
