History Of Texico State Bank
Texico State Bank was established on January 1, 1920, initially operating without Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) insurance. On March 23, 1967, the institution became FDIC insured and changed its primary federal regulatory agency to the FDIC. The bank experienced significant regulatory changes on March 9, 2011, when it transitioned to a state-chartered bank and became a member of the Federal Reserve System, subsequently changing its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Reserve. In addition, on March 31, 2006, the main office was relocated to 13766 East Dix Texico Road in Texico, Illinois. Prior to this move, the main office had been situated on Route 1 in Texico, Illinois, since October 12, 1982. Ultimately, Texico State Bank voluntarily closed and liquidated its assets on December 6, 2021.
