UMB Bank Ratings

The Salinas branch of UMB is engaging in discriminatory practices against me regarding my account. My account is relatively new, and I have made several deposits, including a major deposit of $20,000, which was one of the first large deposits. I have several other deposits pending. My experience with them has been very unpleasant. They lied to me about the funds being released by the other bank, making it seem as if the other bank was withholding the funds, which is false. I have evidence to support this. I informed them that they had placed a hold on my account. I never requested the full amount to be withdrawn; I only asked for $2,700. Due to recent events in Mexico—my brother was tragically killed there—we needed to fly his body to California. I told them this when I called the customer service manager, Iman, who was very helpful. He contacted the branch that placed the hold on my funds. He said that the hold could be lifted and some of the funds released, but the branch denied this request. I feel that they are discriminating against me. The bank is very intrusive; whenever I enter the branch, not one, but two tellers pull up my account and review it openly. I find this to be a severe violation of privacy. The bank does not respect customer confidentiality in any way.

I would like to start a business account and apply for a business credit card with out any of my personal credit been used i would like to keep it separately.

I use this branch on a regular basis. When I have had to go as I come into Lubbock, they were so very helpful and nice to help me out of a pickle. Not any other bank would have done what they did and that is why I use UMB bank.
