For many years, they were great to deal with, friendly, and efficient. As they started to merge and take over other banks, the experienced management left. As the new inexperienced and arrogant management came in, they brought a new philosophy, that had zero concept of what they were hired to do and everything went down the drain. Heck, even getting a simple title notarized became what seemed like a major inconvenience for them. I had personal accounts, 2 business accounts, 3 CDs, and savings—now nothing. Their bill pay was inept, constantly late, and I could never speak to anyone. I often paid the late fee because no one at UCB branch or home office seem could arrange for the reimbursement. I seldom needed customer service, but when I did, no one ever returned a call. Pulling it all out was tough after many years, but I am very glad I did. I very seldom comment, but I feel the need to warn people. UCB is sure to give headaches and there are lots of banks willing to provide a modicum of customer service and at least get a call back.
All the staff have been pleasant, helpful and explain things with straightforward, clear language. My problems have always been resolved with the first contact.
This bank is not very professional and does not know its job. I received the check for $10 from UCB requested to deposit in my new account to close my account. I received the check, and when the bank tried to collect, the bank refused to accept and pay the $10 the bank had submitted for me to close my account. I have been asking and calling and requesting to finish the job, so I have no more ties with this bank, without success.
This is the worst bank with which I have ever had the displeasure to deal. My bank is still opened, and I cannot close it because of the lack of knowledge and professionalism expressed by customer service.

I love banking at this branch office. The people inside and at the drive through are alway friendly and courteous. The only problem I have is that there NO Saturday hours, not even at the drive through. Most of the time I can not get to the bank when open Monday through Friday. Having Saturday hours on the drive through would be awesome even if only from 9:00 am till 1:00 pm this would give people like myself be able to make deposits or cash a check possible.
The Thompson Bridge, Sandford Court is the best. I would like to thank Mrs. Nix for all of her kind, helpfulness that she does for me. She is always so helpful, friendly and goes out of her way to help me.
We love United Community Bank. We have been banking with them for both personal and business for many years. They have the best customer service! They are responsive and supportive. We wouldn't bank anywhere else!
