Community State Bank of Southwestern Indiana was established on July 15, 1925, originally under the name The Cynthiana State Bank. The bank's main office was first located in Cynthiana, Indiana. On January 19, 1976, the main office was relocated to Highway 65 and Locust Street in Cynthiana, Indiana. The bank underwent a name change to Csb State Bank on January 22, 1997. In a subsequent rebranding effort, it changed its name to Community State Bank of Southwestern Indiana on July 20, 2012. The bank's main office moved again on April 30, 2012, to 220 South Lockwood Street in Poseyville, Indiana. However, on June 30, 2021, Community State Bank of Southwestern Indiana closed voluntarily and liquidated its assets.
