I went to the Santander bank in Danvers Mass center on Saturday. not one customer in the bank - the young female teller was polite. I attempted to cash a check written from that bank - it was a large amount --$12,500.00 - the managers and branch manager went out of their way to NOT help me and refused to cash the check. I had my license and paper license as my birthday was last week-and the RMV gives you a paper license on your renewal until they mail you a new hard copy. I had other Massachusetts ID that the two managers refused to see. they wouldn't call the customer who wrote it and I gave them another way to ID as I was a town employee for several decades-- this town and a life long resident-- considering that both managers couldn't make the correct decision between the two of them - I had to wonder why they were even there.. I will follow up with management until someone explains to me why these two people were allowed to be so passive aggressively rude.. Because of the poor behavior four people were unable to get paid for their weeks works and were able to not have their due funds for this past three day weekend.. I'm in a business where service to customers makes my whole business-- if I let my ego make the decisions as these two managers did, Id be out of business-- but we re busy with great customers all the time -- the managers just wanted to show that they were in charge -- it would have been one thing if I had been rude but I walked in as I always walk in to places with a smile and light hearted kidding around ... since then I have spoke to others that are customers that state they are not impressed with the bank either ... I ll be very curious to see if the higher manager will attempt to apologize for their employees performance... one complaint can cost a business many customers... Michael Bean
