The bank continued to grow by acquiring other institutions, including the National Bank of Conroe in Conroe, Texas, in July 1995, and Highlands Bank in Highlands, Texas, in April 1999. On September 2, 2008, the bank's main office was relocated to 1330 Lake Robbins Drive, The Woodlands, Texas. Most recently, on May 1, 2011, Woodforest National Bank acquired Woodforest Bank in Refugio, Texas.
