RE: Urgent Complaint: Misconduct and Physical Aggression by Branch Manager

On September 3, 2025 between 10:00 AM and 10:30 AM at the Regions Bank, N Monroe, Tallahassee, FL. I went to the bank to withdraw $2,000 from my account ending in 5135. When I entered, there were no other customers present. I approached a young blonde female teller, gave her my ID, and requested the withdrawal.

After about five minutes, another customer—a middle-aged gentleman—came in. He was helped by a different teller and completed his transaction within three minutes. Meanwhile, I was still waiting. Another five minutes passed, and I asked the teller if she needed help, as there were other available tellers not assisting anyone. She replied that she was fine, but she continued to sit quietly in front of her computer without explanation.

After another five minutes (a total of about 15 minutes waiting), I again asked if she needed assistance, but she again said no. Shortly afterward, another customer, an elderly woman, entered, and she too was served by a different teller and completed her transaction quickly.

At this point, frustrated that others were coming and going while my simple cash withdrawal was not being completed, I asked for my ID back and told the teller I would go to another branch across town.

When I returned to my vehicle, I checked my account through the banking app and saw that the $2,000 had not been returned. I immediately went back inside. While I raised my voice slightly out of frustration, I was not yelling. I demanded that the teller put the money back into my account so that I could complete my withdrawal elsewhere.

I asked to speak with the branch manager. The teller informed me that he was on a phone call and she didn't know how long he would be. I insisted on waiting. About five minutes later, the manager, Mark, came out of his office and brought me inside to discuss the issue.

I explained the situation in detail: that I had waited 15 minutes for a basic withdrawal while other customers were assisted quickly, that I had asked the teller twice if she needed help, and that she never sought assistance despite other tellers being available. Mark explained that the teller, Courtney, was new and had only been working for one week. While I understood this, I expressed disappointment that no support or shadowing was provided to help her serve customers, especially when the bank was not busy.

What concerned me most, however, was Mark's statement that because Courtney didn't "know me," that may have been the reason my transaction was delayed. I questioned why I would need to be a "regular" or personally known to a teller in order to withdraw my own funds. He continued making excuses, and at this point I told him I didn't want to hear any more. I suggested additional training and customer service support for the teller, then left his office frustrated, closing the door firmly behind me.

As I exited the branch, Mark followed me out. I was walking to my car and chose not to engage with him further. Once inside my vehicle, he struck my car door and then punched my car window with enough force that I feared it would break. This behavior was alarming, unprofessional, and violent. Thankfully, I was already inside my vehicle. I quickly drove away out of concern for my safety.

I later spoke with Branch Manager Felicia at another location to report this matter. I want to emphasize that physical aggression from a bank manager toward a customer is unacceptable, and I am deeply concerned about what could have happened had I not been in my vehicle at the time. She assisted me with closing all three of my accounts, which I had maintained two checking accounts and a savings account with Regions Bank since 2019. Due to this experience, I will not be returning as a customer.

My reporting matter is to possibly help other customers safe and having to endure such a violent altercation from any workers within Regions Bank. The Bank Manager has not held up his professionalism nor setting any leadership examples providing proper customer care of service to Regions' customers. If I were not so shaken and in fear for my life, thinking properly I would have called the police concerning this matter. Honestly, I did not want my vehicle damaged by staying in the parking lot.

I trust that Regions Bank will take this matter seriously and address the situation promptly. I look forward to receiving confirmation of how this issue will be resolved to ensure the safety and fair treatment of all customers in the future.

Bank review

I've noticed this bank has a repeated problem when transferring money through Zelle. They admittedly froze my employer's account for sending money to someone with a hispanic last name. Would not resolve the issue until my employer went up there in person, causing people to miss paychecks that week. More recently I purchased a car from someone and they held the money for a week. I assume the bank got the interest on that during that time? I know we didn't. Since then I have sent money to family members (for larger amounts) and it went through immediately. Seems like if both parties are white the transactions go through so much faster. I saw another reviewer mention how Christian his branch was, this doesn't feel very Christian to me.

Branch review: Edgewater Branch

Hi There! I recently acquired a new accounting client, and I sent her down to the Branh in Edgewater Florida to set up a username and password foe me so I can take care of her books and download transactions everything I need to do for her bookkeeping. Upon arrival at the branch my client was informed that this a practice that they do not do and that I would need to come down to the branch and sign on to her checking account in order for me to have my own username and password. I have two other clients with Regions and neither Client had this issue at all in fact the client that is located two towns away went down there and set me right up at that time he was informed that he could have done this himself through his online portal which I also told him would be a viable option but he is not as computer savvy as me. My other client set me up herself online through her portal and did not even go down to the branch. When I have tried to contact this person I am told they are on lunch or out or the branch is closed. Can you please explain to me why the branch manager told my client that this was not something that Regions Bank practices? When clearly this is not the case. My client would also like to know why she was completely misinformed and led astray as she has been banking with you for over 40 years. This is extremely disappointing to me and to all three of my clients who all own businesses. Would you also kindly care to explain why no one is able to reach the branch manager of Edgewater Florida? Why they dodge calls and are always out it seems.? They also just do not pick up the phone at all too. I would appreciate that. Quite frankly I think this sort of behavior from a branch manager no less is completely unprofessional and not necessary. Also, please explain why the manger did not know about the online portal or the fact that this is a common practice between accountants and clients, if that is the case? It states that one of the managers has been at that branch in that position for almost 20 years? And why I had to do his or her job and explain to my very upset client that this is indeed an everyday practice and is quite legal. to the point of showing her myself. (I do have two other clients with the same banking institution, lol, who did not have a problem when called to verify this information) I will be waiting for a reply on this as I am sure you will want to hear from them yourselves about why this was told to my client. I am recommending that she bank elsewhere at this time. I am hoping that she does. I can't imagine what other falsehoods she was told during her 40 years with the bank. Also, her father who just recently passed away had been at your bank and really that's the only reason she banks with you in the first place. Her father. I expect a response within 48 hours. tbustle2019@gmail.com

Regions Online Banking ceased to work sometime during the week of 3/18/24. It was working fine since 11/2020, when the account was opened. Trying to log in with 2 of the most common browsers in the US (Current Versions, Edge & Firefox) results in an "Internal Server Error". The technical support number was worse than useless. The agent's response was essentially, "We don't support those browsers anymore... go buy a new computer". This is not acceptable. Let me ask a question. Why should I even consider new services when the basic technology can't be trusted?

Bank review

We have a mid-size corporate account with Regions Bank. I've called, the President has called, and even the Treasurer/Senior VP (who is a signer on the account) has called simply to get copies of bank statements, which at every turn they have refused. I will provide you with some of their excuses to provide us with bank statements 1) "You are not a signer, so we cannot provide you with paper bank statements as you requested." The reason when asked was, "due to security reasons we can't provide it." I and the President responded that we have not received statements for the last 15 months after multiple attempts. I mentioned that not receiving over a year's worth of statements creates more opportunities for fraud than sending statements to the customer to their address on file. They repeated, "I'm sorry, we can't make any bank account changes without an authorized signer".

I then attempt to call the bank and conference in the Senior VP (who is a signer on the account) to talk with a representative to get statement copies. The baffling response was, "Oh we do not accept conference calls to request any bank changes. You will have to have the signer call us directly".

Using the same Regions Bank phone number for the attempted conference call, the signer / senior GP called to get bank statement copies. He was told "Unfortunately, we can't help you, you have to call the general customer service number." Instead of transferring him to the number, they ended the phone call.

We have experienced such poor customer service on so many occasions with so many different banking representatives, that I am surprised that they are able to retain any customers. If they keep denying us our bank statements, we will have to remedy the problem with the proper authorities.

Gentlemen: you are my originating branch for service, so I am initiating a complaint through your branch for further action. My name is Robert petrik, address: 44 belle meadow lane, Little Rock ar, 72210. Phone 501-580-3836 last 4 are 4557. On November 5 th I redeemed 35,000 points for gift cards. They were allegedly shipped on 7 November. I am yet to receive them. No one at the redemption department will take responsibility for replacing them saying they aren't responsible for lost or stolen gift cards. I charge you with reneging on your responsibility for shipping them. I cannot prove that you actually sent them, and I am not responsible for losing cards I never received. Why would you even offer a shipping alternative that doesn't track the cards while in route? I expect replacement cards be sent by secure means, nothing more and nothing less. Yours would be the first entity that shed responsibility for delivering to a customer. I'm not Sure that is a label that you want broadcast throughout the banking universe. Trust me, this is an issue that you don't want me to seize upon and elevate throughout the internet and media services. You would be best served by greasing this squeeky wheel, because I have nothing better to do than elevate this issue as high as necessary. I look foreword to your response/action.

I just wanted to comment on the representative Adrienne Perkins. She was awesome. I went in some time ago to open up an account on my lunch break. I had an appointment with a branch rep but when I come in she was busy. At that time Adrienne knew I was on lunch break and helped me open up an account for my son. Just because of her assisting me in line, I made it back on time from my lunch break.

This bank is trying to steal a man's dead wife's money from her Cookie Lee business. He has been through hell with the passing of his wife, covid almost taking his life and now cancer treatments. They are making him go to court to get the money that belongs to him, as her husband despite providing her death certificate, etc. The theft totals over $5,500. Scumbags. Do not do business with this corrupt institution.

Needed a copy of a check that had cleared. Took a LOT of pushing this button wait and a computer sending me to this or that.. FINALLY got a human. Went throug the hoops to get a copy of the Check mailed to me. THEN, I was told it would colse me 5 dollars. WHAT??? you gotta be kidding. One dollar for postage, SURE..but 5 bucks What the ELLLL... This was once a personal friendly bank. BIG money and greed seem to be a cancer..I'm looking at other banks. IF I find a good one I will be moving my account and a LOT of my friends who I have influnce over will be moving money. My guess is we will move close to 100,000..BUT IF all the other banks have gotten greedy this I'll stick with the dog that bites less often..

Branch review: Belleview Ocala Branch

To make a long story short. I have been banking with Regions Bank in Belleview Florida for approx. 14 years. Friday morning between 1:05 am – 1:30 am, I went to Regions bank to use the ATM to make a $720.00 deposit and the ATM indicated that one or more bills were being returned due to not being accepted. The ATM returned one twenty then it returned another twenty, it made some processing noises then returned my ATM debit card. I waited and waited, lights on the right panel went out, I still waited, nothing happened then after a while the lights came back on. It did not provide me with a receipt or anything. I looked at the Icons on the front screen and noticed that at this point the deposit light was not lit-up as the other icons. I put my ATM debit card back into the ATM machine to check my balance, so I selected "Show Balance" my 680.00 was not credited to my checking account. It is extremely difficult trying to reach anyone at the Regions 800 number when you are encountering a problem to get resolved. I have held on for hours at a time to no success. No one wants to help you. At 8:15am that morning I called the 800 customer service number for them to tell me I have to wait for it to be investigated and could take 10 business days. I not only called Regions Belleview Branch but also went down in person and spoke with the teller and a manager who both said they could not help me I have to wait for the completion of an investigation. Today, May 11, 2022, I called several departments and spoke to several people only to hear them say they can not help me I need to wait for the completion of the investigation. I also explained that I needed my funds to travel this weekend to my granddaughter's graduation can they deposit a credit since the ATM took my money and did not deposit it in error. They said no they can not do that. This is really annoying and frustrating that all the money Region Corporation has will put people through such foolishness just take your money and there is not anything you can do about it. To top that off I was told I am not the only one this has happened to they have about six more people with the same problem at my branch. Obviously, this is a chronic issue that needs to be fixed. I never experienced such foolishness at my other banks they stand behind their mistakes. I do not understand how they can just take people money and not stand behind their errors. They know that their ATM is doing this which is the reason why they will not credit the accounts because it is happening to many people. I will not use their ATM machines anymore.

Account difficult to manage online, limited transaction download date range. Was unable to link to family member's external account. Zelle not easy to use. Previously dealt with an incompetent mortgage processor. She had the wrong city for the property. She kept screwing up the numbers on the settlement statement like the share of property taxes and initial escrow amount. I had to prepare the settlement statement for her. To add insult to injury, I got charged a hefty fee for her when I did the work!
